Our 1st dinner in Kissimmee, FL
We dined outside and enjoyed some live music.
Sunday we went to Gatorland. We zip lined across
all the gators.
After Gatorland we headed to the Orlando Science Center.
Here we are in a wind tunnel/machine that went up to
78.5 mph.
Kevin made a tornado appear.
Sunday night we went to the movies and saw Captain America.
Monday we went on an air boat ride.
Kevin is holding a big snail shell, that he got to keep
as a souvenir.
Monday night we went to Arabian Nights dinner and show. Earlier this year
I won 2 tickets to Arabian Nights, so we figured we use them. When they found
out that Kevin is in the military they asked us if we wanted to be in the show. They
do a special tribute to military. So we got a special carriage ride, just the 2 of us, in front
of the whole crowd. The coachman (not sure if that's the right word for the guy) took us around the
arena twice, then stopped right in the middle. Did I mention it was pitch black and the spotlight was
on us? Here we are right before our carriage ride.
After Arabian Nights we checked out a gift shop then
went miniature golfing. Luckily we got it in right
before it thunder stormed.
Tuesday we headed to Cape Canaveral to the
Kennedy Space Center.
They also had a Star Trek exhibit.
Wednesday we were suppose to go para-sailing but it was "too windy".
So instead we went out to lunch and checked out 2 surf shops, then
headed to the beach. Later we went go karting (my 1st time), then went out for dinner.
See the umbrella in the top right corner? That's where
our table was, over looking the water. We saw several
dolphins and manatees. It was a great way to end the day.
We came back Thursday. Today we picked up Buddy from
"A Cat Clinic". He had a 3 story cat condo. He made other
cat friends who were vacationing too. While we were gone
he got his 2 front paws declawed.(sorry if you're totally against that).
When we first picked him up, he was feeling great, wanted to be
held and get some lovings. This afternoon he's been sleeping a lot.
He still has a medicine patch on his side, which will stay there for a
few more days. We also may be adopting another cat. Kevin fell in
love with a cat, at the cat clinic, that's up for adoption. She is very friendly
and is around the same age as Buddy. They said we can test her out for two weeks,
to see if her and Buddy get along, if not we'll take her back. The two week
test begins on Monday, so we will see.
Tomorrow we are going to Marineland to swim with dolphins!! I can't wait for that!!!
This was a bittersweet vacation, at least for me. This was our last vacation before Kevin goes on deployment. Now it's really beginning to set in, for me, that he'll be leaving soon. Thank you for all your prayers and support! It's really appreciated!
