Morning workout

Today I participated in a hot yoga class. One of my friends from Church is the instructor. I've never participated in any type of yoga class before. And why do they call it hot yoga, you may ask. Well, it's hot & you sweat. I'm not talking about a little sweat, I'm talking your body is drenched in sweat, but it's a great workout!!! It was a great way to start off my day!!

Bittersweet Day

Today while I was at work, I saw a flower delivery van pull up in front of the store. I said to the other girls (Maggie & Roxanne),"Someone's getting flowers!" We all looked at each other and we didn't think he was coming inside to our store. Sure enough the delivery man came inside. Next thing I knew he asked for me!!!! So I quick signed my name on his clipboard, and opened the note, to find out they were from Kevin!!! It was surely a surprise and made me cry a little bit, happy tears!! :)   They totally made my day.

I also found out today that the internet on Kevin's ship is down, and may be down for 1 month. Please pray that it gets fixed soon!

I know I've been slacking on updates. There's not too much here to update on. I work, go to Bible Study on Tuesdays, go to Church when I have Sundays off, clean, workout, hang out with my cats (that makes me sound like an old cat lady, haha!). It's hard to believe that 1 year ago we were still in Virginia and I was packing up all of our stuff for our move.  Crazy how time flies.....although now it feels like its going by slow since my other half isn't here with me. Anyway, enough of the sappy stuff....... At the moment Buddy is sleeping on the floor next to my chair. Here are some cat pictures for ya:

Today Kevin received the first 2 packages I sent him ( I couldn't fit it all in one box).

In the big box was his "P" coat & his pillow

Since he forgot his pillow, I decided to have some
friends sign a pillowcase to let him know we're thinking
& praying for him.

I've be meaning to say.....

That I have survived the 1st month of this deployment!!!!!!!!! WHOOOO HOOOO!!!!!! As months keep passing, those whoooo hooo  o's will get longer and longer!! :)   I'm so thankful to God for many things. One being modern day technology!! I usually get 1 e-mail from Kevin a day, and occasionally get to chat with him on the facebook instant messenger. This definitely helps!! I'm very thankful to God for my friends and family...my prayer warriors!! You're prayers are greatly appreciated!! I am doing my best to keep myself occupied. I'm involved with a Women's Bible Study that meets Tuesday mornings, working part time and hanging out with friends. Again thank you all for your prayers and support!! It's greatly appreciated!!

Where were you?

On September 11, 2001 I was in 8th grade. My spanish class just ended and I was on my way to my history class. My teacher was standing out in the hallway telling us, before we entered, to go in, sit down and watch the tv. He had the live news coverage on. We watched the 2nd plane crash into the tower. Eventually the principal made an announcement that we were being dismissed from school early.

TODAY ON FACEBOOK, BLOGS, E-MAIL, WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING, FROM 8:46 TO 10:28 AM EDT EVERYONE ON FACEBOOK SHOULD BE SILENT. NO POSTING OR CHAT. FROM THE TIME THE FIRST PLANE HIT UNTIL THE LAST BUILDING DROPPED!!!!!! IF YOU LIKE THIS REPOST IT. EVERYONE SHOULD BE REPOSTING IT, IT IS THE LEAST WE CAN DO!!!!
This is during church time so it shouldn't be a problem. If you are not in church, please don't post anything during this time.

Mom & Dad's Visit

I sure did enjoy having my parents come visit for a week. As the saying goes "Time fly's when you're having fun"....and that it certainly did. Here are some pictures from our week:

P.S. Please pray for Kevin's ship & all the sailors on it. Their communication will be down, but we don't know for how long. Please pray for protection because they could possibly be in a dangerous area. Also continue to pray for all of the men and women fighting for our country, and their families.
